I am getting my hair layered on Friday and I don't know if the layered look would look good on my thick hair.

I got my hair layered on saturday and I have really thick hair. It was hard to manage and took forever to dry.

When they put layers in your hair, it actually makes the hair abit thinner and takes alot of the weight away. You can even ask them to think it out some more if its still to thick after its been layered.

My hair now feels great, its like half the weight and a lot easier to style etc. :)

Yes but you need to go an experienced stylist, one who cuts current styles (not an 60 year old lady). You need to have her thin your layers out and add texture to the top. Other wise you will look like a puffball. A good rule of thumb is go to some one who has a good cut themselves because if they don't have a nice "do" chances are they won't care what yours looks like.
