What to do with my thick curly hair when wet??!!!?

Ok, so i have semi-long thick curly hair that goes down to the middle of my back. For the past year or so, I have been brushing my hair in the shower, while the conditioner is still in my hair, and it usally came out perfect and shiney. But latley im starting to hear that brushing my hair in the shower is bad, and also, my drain is getting clogged with all the hair thats falling out. I really dont want to go bald, or start losing my curly hair, So the past two weeks i've tried combing my curly hair in the shower with conditioner, and its still not working. If i was to use my fingers, its much to hard from the knots that are get stuck in my curly hair. I cant, cant , CANT, brush my hair while its dry, becouse it just gets frizzy. I dont like to use products to put on my hair everyday, so i dont use them at all. When i brush my hair when its dry, it tends to frizz up instead of going into nice little ringlets like it would usally if i brushed it, yet i dont want to lose so much hair.

Mousse or straightening balm.

first of all.. brushing hair in the shower is not bad.

especially for us people with thick curly hair.

you will not go bald! everybody loses hair.. and people with

thicker tend to lose more. so dont worry about that.

just continue to brush your hair.

you wont go bald or any of that nonsense.

i havent gone bald yet.. and trust me my hair is THICK %26amp; CURLY.

if you want it to be softer or less knotty, i would try a leave in conditioner.

if your so worried about "going bald" in the shower, which wont happen

just comb it after you come out of the shower, while its still wet instead of waiting for it to dry

man, that sounds familiar!

haha, i have curly hair too, and it's definitely tough to take care of.

before i get in the shower, i brush it out. then i shampoo, rinse, and put conditioner in. while the conditioner's still in, i wash my face/body and whatever else i need to do so the conditioner has time to soak in. to get the real benefits from your conditioner, it needs to be left in for 5-10 minutes.

then, i take a plastic-bristled brush, and brush out my hair while rinsing the conditioner.

now, this won't stop your hair from coming out. women with curly hair lose about 10 times the hair that women with straight hair lose, and you're supposed to lose hundreds of hairs a day, so don't worry about it. it's normal!

when i get out of the shower, rather than towel-drying my hair, i squeeze out the water with a downward motion.

NEVER BLOWDRY! that's an easy way to create unwanted frizz.

i like to put a little cream in my hair, CHI makes great stuff, as well as Redken, but if you prefer not to use products, then proceed without them.

while the hair's still wet, comb out any other knots, and part it how you like it.

then gently scrunch your hair while it's air drying. and don't forget--never brush it!

hopefully you'll be happier with your hair now. :]

hope i helped!
