I'm brown and the hair on my head is insanely thick, is there anyway for me to make it thinner, or just relax it or something so it isnt all frizzy, i want it to grow longer, but the in-between phase looks really fugly with my hair

Every salon I've ever been to have these kind of scissor things called thinning shears. They can go around your whole head with them and make it as thin as you want. Me, I have very fine hair and wish it was nice and thick. Why do we always want what we don't have??lol

Your haircut person should have something for you. Most people I know who have thick hair just let it do whatever it once, and it doesn't look too bad.

My husband uses oil, sunflower oil, it keeps it from looking "fro" but his hair is dry so it doesn't get oily. Just be sparing with the oil, a little goes a long way.

if you are letting it grow ,do not use thinning shears too much it'll make it thin on the ends and make the top bushier.try a devolumizer shampoo and styling system or All Soft shampoo and conditioner by Redken and a defrizzer like...After Party serum by Sexy Hair Concepts and maybe a flat iron or chemical straightener[even if your hair isn't curly it'll help tame it]

yes us hairdressers do have scissors that help to thin out your hair. this can help, but wont be a total solution, also invest in a de-frizz product, dont go overboard with applying it though as this will make your hair very greasy. these two mixed together, will help alot in taming your hairs wild ways

You can either keep it really really short, or if you're really keen on havin in a bit longer then you can have it permanantly straingtened. Also try usin moose on your hair %26amp; see if it helps to control it.

don't know how long ur hair is but i have a bud with long thick curly hair and he keeps it in a single brade, please dont get it thinned, my guy used to do that and it made his hair very frizzy, and he has straight hair.
