you could try using a pressing comb or a flat iron, you may want to avoid a relaxer, it is basically like a drug to your hair, if you ever decide to stop using it your hair will go through 'withdrawls' and start falling out and breaking, so a heat source is probably your best option, for best results you may also want to try a heat protection spray to sheild your hair from any damage, it will also give your hair a nice sheen.

a relaxer would not make your hair fall out if you took the right precautions your hair has to be virgin hair meaning no color or previous perms or relaxers also i dont believe you can wash your hair for 48 hours after getting a relaxer call some salons and professional hairstylists to get their opinions.......hope this helps

i've relaxed my hair before and it didn't fall out just make sure that they don't leave it in to long or your hair will fall out or get damaged! also if it starts burning wash it out immediatley!!!

First, let me start by saying I'm a hair stylist. When you start looking into relaxers - you'll find there are several kinds. Make sure whoever does it has a lot of experience - ethnic hair can be very tricky. Make sure they "base" your scalp if they are using a traditional relaxer. Another option would be the Japanese Thermal Reconditioning or "Thermal Str8" -- every other step is a conditioning/reconstructing treatment and this will leave your hair in better condition than before the process (its expensive, but effective - it also takes 4 - 7 hours) Non-chemically straightening your hair will also take a while but should last you several days. **moisture is key** Use a silicone based product like Straightening Ultragel by Aquage and blow dry your hair with a natural boar bristle brush (better tension) then use a spray shine/thermal protector like Beyond Shine by Aquage with a CERAMIC flat iron. Press hair by taking small sections and spraying each section with Beyond Shine and following with ceramic iron....

Your hair will NOT fall out if you use the correct kind of relaxer. As for something else to use to straightener for your hair without chemicals...try a flat iron..but its going to take quit a while...
