Thick hair needs curls?!?

I have a dance coming up and I was hoping to do something with my thick, straight hair that will not hold a curl!! Any tips?? It needs to stay the entire night...my biggest problem is that the curls always fall flat after dancing!

hair mousse, hair spray and curl activating spray. those are the stuff i use when i go out for a dance. you have to you use loads of these products. it's just for one night so don't worry about it too much. anyway it's nearly impossibel to keep hair without falling flat near to the end of the dance, then you should spray it with some curl activating spray. so use a good set of hot rollers use mousse and hair spray and go have fun.

i have thick hair to and i think that puting curls in thick hair is hard and it just makes your hair look even bigger. but if you truley want them then use loads of hair spray. or you can go to a hair salon and see wat they recommend. or just get it done by a stylist if you really really want them to stay up.

Try wet setting you hair, this is how you do it:

Wash your hair and use wrap lotion be Motions and use medium to big rollers to roll up your hair, let it dry then take the rollers out out, the curls will last longer, or you can just put smaller curls in your hair with the curling irons and use lots of hair spray.

Perhaps you should try to only curl the top layer of hair. It would probably stay better and it might look cute.
